Funk Motorsport – STARTER MOTOR PROTECTION DURABILITY COVER – FUNK-DLSHT-3030 – Funk Motorsport’s Thermal Protection Cover provides additional reliability on starter motors in which are prone to failing due to fatigue caused by heat and debris. The starter motor protection will provide a clean and healthy starter for years to come. Whilst this cover is designed for starter motors, some have used this on a wide array of components including individual throttle bodies (ITB), master cylinders, on board compressors etc.

Funk Motorsport – STARTER MOTOR PROTECTION DURABILITY COVER – FUNK-DLSHT-3030 – Our heat shrink will allow a secure and neat fitment of our heat protection sleeving. Heat Shrink is easy to fit, start by cutting to the desired length, loosely place over the protection sleeving, then apply a heat source until the heat shrink has taken to the shape of the sleeving or has reached its minimum diameter. Available in 12mm and 18mm (Starting) diameters.

By protecting your starter motor, you can save against costly replacements of this sensitive component. Like all electronics, the relay and solenoid within the starter motor can easily be penetrated by heat.
Dual Layer metal heat shields are a versatile product that can work well around ceramic exhausts, turbo systems, and bulkheads to provide an insulation wrap and Heat Lagging to provide optimal performance. Our OEM automotive clients like this product as the internal Rockwool allows a far lower heat transfer and so helps to aid a reduction on harmful emissions caused by standard cars. The Aluminium allows for a lightweight heat shield, but with very effective heat shielding benefits – providing easy to shape characteristics.
